We offer traditional designs from Turkmen tribes in the Bokhara style of a fine repetitive
geometric pattern on a solid background.These rugs are labeled Product of Pakistan and
we are currently exporting them from Peshawar in western Pakistan. Neighboring Afghanistan
has historically been the manufacturer of rugs and carpets.
However, many of the Afghan carpet weavers fled to Pakistan during the brutal regime of
the Taliban and established their businesses in the Peshawar area. Also, much of the rug
production for the overseas market is transported to Pakistan for washing, trimming and
finishing, and re-exported from there to the overseas markets.
